Wade and Jess enjoyed their first holiday together in Japan, and since then, it has become a theme throughout their lives. For this exact reason, they decided to style their engagement party, as well as wedding around the Japanese Cherry Blossom. When Wade proposed, he wrote Jess a love letter in Japanese, the start of this adventure together.
For the engagement party, they decided on a more bold cherry blossom, with the invitations being a more realistic painting, and the cake being much bolder too.
By the time we were ready to design the wedding invitations, a much looser and flowing design had emerged. The invites because a wash of pinks, ever so slightly representing the cherry blossom flowers, but creating a gorgeous watercolour painting which each guest can treasure. The designs got lighter over time too, which eventually linked the engagement party to the wedding seamlessly.
