iampoppy Designs is run by Poppy, a graphic design – illustrator, who works from her home studio in the sunny surf town of Currumbin, Australia.

With a love of drawing since she can remember, Poppy went on to study Illustration at the University of Plymouth, completing her BA Hons with the ‘Student of the Year’ prize in 2006.self-portrait

She loves to travel and enjoys tasting all the local delicacies on her various journeys. Many of her illustrations come from these experiences and she especially loves capturing local festivals and celebrations. Past adventures have taken her throughout Europe from France down to Morocco, across throughout Asia and even Thailand to live. All these experiences gave her a love of capturing culinary delights which can be seen in her early work consisting of prints and greeting cards.

In recent years, iampoppy Designs has taken more of a design aspect, with invites, logos being what kept her most busy throughout 2014. Late October 2014 saw the release of her new card range, which showcases many of her older images reworked with a more graphic design approach.

In August 2015, iampoppy Designs entered the world of Wedding Stationery and hasn’t looked back!

Now a multi award winner including ABIA best in Queensland for wedding stationery 2017 and 2018, iampoppy Designs creates gorgeous custom stationery with a creative flare. Transitioning into watercolour paintings has seen the business take on a new life, and Poppy’s love of this medium is infectious. She now teaches monthly watercolour workshops, sharing her knowledge of her passion.

iampoppy Designs strives to be environmentally friendly in everything she does.

80% of her wedding stationery is now printed on recycled paper, which has been sourced from many different places to find the best possible quality.

All cards and prints are printed on 100% post consumer waste recycled paper, packaged along with recycled envelopes, with all products being wrapped in biodegradable cellophane.

If we all do our bit, we can keep our planet beautiful.

She is extremely frightened of anything sticky, leaving her open to many a practical joke!

If you’re in need of any design work, commissioned pieces or just want to say hello, I would love to hear from you.
