Elephant Rock wedding photo shoot

Last Thursday I got the chance to work with some fantastic people in the wedding industry. The collaboration was created by the amazingly talented Jo from Orange Sunshine Photography and Film, and she collected a handful of quality suppliers to create this amazing Elephant Rock wedding photo shoot.

Amazingly for me, i got an email a few months back asking if I would like to be part of it, and after some thought… ok, 5 minutes is all it took!, but anyway, after some thought, I decided it would be worth taking on some more invite designs to be part of this collaboration.

What a challenge it ended up being! I created so many different designs to fit in with the grey and white themes. I wanted to create something that was natural, watery and conveyed the dark clouds you see at the beach.. which take your breath away… But for some reason, my paint brush was not coming to the party! I was stuck….

In the end I decided to add a splash of colour and go back to my good old florals, and what a great decision that was! The final outcome was great, and I still got to add my moody cloud look in the RSVP’s. Without realising, these ended up matching the bouquets and cake perfectly, and anyone would think we had actually met before and discussed!!! We had not!

After days of rain, and the morning looking like a storm was settling in, the clouds parted and made way for a beautiful beach scene, for the few hours it took to do the shoot! The gods were on our side! There was a bedroom scene with an amazing four poster bed from Uniqwa Collections, dressed in cushions from Bandhini Homewear Designs. This looked fabulous against the waves breaking against the rocks behind, and the sun beaming through the trees. We then moved onto a lounging scene which was so amazing and featured florals by Wildflower, and a gorgeously simple cake by LoveBitesCookies. It is here that I got to have my stationery photographed.

The final scene, just in time for the last of the sun, and the heavy rains about to move in, was the dinning setting. And this was stunning! I created the name cards and table number, which complimented the florals and dinner setting perfectly. All the scenes were made complete by the beautiful models dressed by The GC Bridal Lounge and made up by Le Rouge Beauty.

Just waiting to see the edited images, which is so exciting… and then I can share them with the world.. and who knows which mag will snatch up these gems!
